DOG TRAINING IS BOTH A SCIENCE AS WELL AS AN ART.
SCIENCE IS THE UNDERSTANDING OF
THE ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE DOG
WHY THEY DO WHAT THEY DO AND WHY THEY RESPOND IN CERTAIN WAYS.
ART IS THE ABILITY TO TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO REACT AND INTERACT CORRECTLY WITH THEIR DOGS.
AS A FACILITY WE COMBINE THESE ASPECTS WITH EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
The concept of what encompasses dog training has changed over the years. Practices that were used as the basis of training have been modified as the science aspect has come under more scrutiny. The belief that dog and handler must work together for the mutual good is now more accepted as opposed to having the dog work for and not with you.
Our methods will continue to evolve in line with concepts that - through
knowledge and experience - are proven to be successful. There is no ‘one’
method of training and the more tools and options that the trainer can call
on, the more the pupil will benefit.
The basis of what we do is based on firmness, fairness and consistency and
advocating positive ownership. Strange that well-behaved children seem to
be in the same homes as well behaved dogs.
Our results speak for themselves
