Timmy
Arrived in SA from Germany in 1972 and in 1973 obtained first breed harlequin
Great Dane. Bred first litter in 1975 and in 1978 was top harlequin breeder/exhibitor
in SA. She has owned and shown dogs under the Tiborray and Alamo kennel names.
In 1977 acquired first Irish Wolfhound and in 1979 started the show and obedience
classes for this breed.
Between 1979 and 1984 handled two Irish Wolfhounds to champion status and IW
of the year in ’82, ’83 and ’84.
Founder chairperson of the Irish Wolfhound Club in 1981.
Commenced breed judging at open shows in 1980 and championships shows in 1983.
Also qualified to judge carting at championship level in 1982.
In 1984 acquired three IW – all attained champion status.
In 1993 imported IW dog from Germany – was awarded BIS in 1996 and sired top
winning progeny.
During 1985 – ’87 trained and handled a German shepherd to Schutzhund I.
Currently owns two Amstaffs – both having gained KUSA CGC and the male, Monty,
WODAC Silver and Gold and breed champion status.
On the KUSA panel to judge hounds, herding and working groups as well as Amstaffs
at championship level also FCI groups I, II, IV, V, VI and X.
In addition to judging a wide variety of shows in SA she has judged extensively
in Namibia, USA, Germany and Russia – these have covered a wide variety of breeds
and specialist shows.
Has presented specialist breed clinics both in SA and overseas on breeds including
Ridgebacks, Irish Wolfhounds and Great Danes.
